About Us

Phoebe
I got the idea for DoggyDay when I first moved (back) to New York. I had just moved into a new building in Brooklyn, and about the same time, my neighbor, who I still do not know to this day, got a puppy.
I would hear it cry whenever his owner was gone. I wasn’t so much annoyed as I was concerned about how the puppy must be feeling. I thought to myself, “I am home alone. The puppy is home alone. I wish I can have the puppy over until my neighbor is back.”
This is why I created Doggy Day – for all the people who like me would love nothing more than to play with a dog; and for all the dogs, who love nothing more than being around people and being outside.
Our values
- Dog welfare - all dogs can have a full, social life regardless of owner's circumstances
- Mental health - everyone deserves the benefits of dog companionship
- Community development - connect with neighbors we would otherwise never meet
How Doggy Day is Different
Dogs are not transactional
We want to create genuine, non-transactional connections between people and dogs.
It is about building a network
We are here because we genuinely love dogs and want to hang out with your dog.
