Unexpected things happen all the time even when everything seems well. Here are some contingencies we recommend:
- Keep calm and carry on! Your dog needs you to be in a calm state of mind to help him/her get through this.
- Find out what actions your doggy neighbor has taken already.
- Get in touch with your dog’s vet if it’s a medical emergency and communicate with your neighbor on the plan of action to get your dog there.
- Communicate with your neighbor regularly to work together and resolve the issue.
- If you suspect illegal activities have been committed, please contact the relevant authorities immediately.
